Voguer at Marina Itajai Boat Show: Brazil's Largest Southern Nautical Event

The city of Itajai, in Santa Catarina, hosted one of the most anticipated events in the nautical industry: the Marina Itajai Boat Show. Featuring a program packed with attractions and innovations, the fair -- considered the largest in Southern Brazil -- drew thousands of visitors to its second edition, held from July 4 to 7 at the modern Marina Itajai, known for its cutting-edge infrastructure and prime location.

The event combined leisure and business by the sea, showcasing the industry's top innovations and featuring boats from national and international brands in a 360-degree on-water circuit. It also included floating walkways, a movable bridge, a showroom with a new layout, and a space 30% larger than the previous edition.

Of course, Voguer couldn't miss this. The platform, which simplifies boat rentals through an app, attended the event and connected with the biggest names in the nautical industry, while getting a close-up look at launches ranging from luxurious yachts to sporty speedboats.

Other highlights of the Marina Itajai Boat Show included:

Innovations

The city of Itajai is one of the country's nautical hubs, making it the perfect venue for showcasing the latest industry trends. One example was the launch of the Okean 80, presented at the Yachtmax stand. Other shipyards that brought innovations and distinctive boats included Azimut, Intermarine, and Schaefer Yachts.

Exhibitors

Over 70 national and international brands were present, displaying not only boats but also the latest innovations in equipment, accessories, and everything related to the nautical world. Some of the participating brands included Volvo Penta, Montreal Powersports, Yamaha, and Marine Express.

Floating marketplace

The event functioned as a floating marketplace, as brands weren't just exhibiting. Companies from various product and service segments also conducted business at the Marina Itajai Boat Show, selling and closing contracts with visitors. Some examples include Flow Marine Systems, Kapazi Nautica, Kelson's by Agro Quimica, Mar Aberto Distribuidora Nautica, and Netuno.

Technology and sustainability

The event featured a dedicated space for technological and sustainable solutions, including electric motors, solar panels, and innovative materials that reduce environmental impact.

Workshops and talks

Industry experts shared their knowledge across various fields, including sailing, boat maintenance, market trends, and sustainability.

A breathtaking setting

Itajai is a city that breathes the nautical universe. With its rich maritime tradition, stunning beaches, and first-class tourism infrastructure, the city is the perfect backdrop for an event of this magnitude. Visitors were able to explore the region's natural and cultural beauty.

Around 20,000 people visited Marina Itajai during the four days of the Boat Show, and the event is expected to have generated over 250 million reais in business. Another highlight this year was the event's philanthropic purpose: supporting the state of Rio Grande do Sul, affected by floods. For this reason, 5% of ticket sale revenue was directed to this social initiative in support of the state.
